Chad is a native of Dixon, Illinois, a rural town outside of Chicago. He graduated from Western Illinois University and worked professionally in Chicago for 20 years before he and his wife relocated to Portland in 2013. A lover of nature and the outdoors, Chad enjoys hiking, camping, and skiing. He is actively involved with local community organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, United Way, and Oregon Food Drive.
